Biography
Pastor Roberson was born in Tutwiler, Mississippi, to the late John and Lula Roberson.  Pastor Roberson is the fourth child of ten children.  The family later moved to Clarksdale, Mississippi, where he confessed his faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the early age of 10 at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  He graduated from Immaculate Conception High School and later attended Jackson State College in Jackson, Mississippi, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Studies.  After moving to the Chicago land area, he attended Roosevelt University and received a Master’s in Administration. Upon completing his schooling, he entered into the field of teaching, where he taught for thirty years. Pastor Roberson retired in June of 2002 after thirty years of teaching.

Upon relocation to the Waukegan area, he united with First Corinthian, where he became a Deacon and later heard and answered the voice of God, and entered into ministry in 1979, which allowed his to become the assistant to the late Peter Goudeaux,Jr.  In 1994, he was ultimately named the Pastor of First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church.

Pastor Roberson has received many awards and accolades from his church family and the community.  In 1999, he received the Harambee Award of Excellence presented by the College of Lake County; awarded the “Key to the City of Florence, Alabama; the first African American in Lake County to open a Session of Congress in 2001, and was named “The Most Influential African American” for the year of 2002 by the People’s Voice publication, where he currently holds a position as chairman.

Pastor Roberson’s favorite sayings are, “God Is Good All the Time, and All the Time, God Is Good; Stay on the Wall”.  Outside of preaching and teaching, his pastimes and hobbies are his family, basketball and tennis.

  
Geraldine Herron Roberson


Biography
 Geraldine Roberson has been involved in Christian ministry at an early age, and has served alongside her husband, Eugene Roberson for over twenty-five years.  As an insightful speaker, she draws heavily from her education, (was in education for over thirty years, just retired, June, 2005) she is a soft-spoken woman.

First Lady Roberson is very affectionately, inspirational (receiving an inspirational award in the Lake County area, January of 2006).  In addition to raising three children she has assumed an active role at First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church.  First Lady has taken on several speaking engagements throughout Illinois and Wisconsin; school teacher, Minister’s wives ministry, works actively in children’s church, she also has been blessed with a voice.
